Why would Clinton concede now?

You knew they were coming. The pro Obama crowd in the media, people like Tweety, Timmeh, and Johnathan Alter had their stories ready to go about how HRC should "Drop out" and save herself embarrassment etc. in the face of expected loses last night. Well, it didn't happen but they call for her to drop out and concede the race to Obama are still being made on this blog and others. To those who are counseling this, I have to wonder whether they are simply being blinded by pro Obama partisanship.
Seriously, if the rolls were reversed, would you be telling OBama to drop out?
Yes, it is true that it's virtually impossible to for her to win the magic number required to clinch the nomination. But it's impossible for Obama to do the same. Yes, he has the lead and is unlikely to lose it, but the lead isn't good enough. You have to win outright. Neither candidate seems likely to be able to this on primaies alone, especially after last night.

Think about, what candidate in his or her right mind would drop out when they just won two major contests and have won the largest states that have held primaries to date AND they look strong for the last major contest, PA? National polls, for what they are worth, show a tightening race. Again, I cannot imagine the same Obama supporters urging him to drop out if the rolls were exactly reversed in terms of delegates and he had just won Ohio and Texas, and had wins in places like CA, NY, NJ, MA under his belt and polls showed him leading in PA.

She would concede if she put Democratic Party and progressive agenda interests above her own raw ambition.

Sounds like y'all are putting your interests above that of the rest of us in the blue-collar, Reagan democratic, more moderate camps...it's our party too. Last I checked, this party believed in inclusive approaches to the population.

Then they should have voted for her in Virginia, Wisconsin, etc. But they waited to base their decision on a television commercial, by all accounts.

Frankly, these are the same people who gave us Reagan.

What won't happen? She won't conceede or or she won't put the Democratic Party and Progressive agenda above her own ambition?

You asked the question. Here's the answer: YES. If Obama had lost 11 in a row and then squeaked out a 9 delegate margin out of some huge demographically advnatageous states, the media would be demanding that he leave the race. The only reason they aren't doing that more with Hillary Clinton is that she's such an institution.

I find your answer hard to believe with due respect. Maybe the media would say this, but I have a hard time believeing that Tweety, Scarborouh, Modo, Russert, Brazile, Maddow, Olberman and many others would be saying this. And for the Obama supporters I have encounted, I can't say I have seen much evidence that they would saying this. I can't believe for a second they would be writing off a double digit win Ohio and a win in Texas, no matter how narrow.

It was entirely inappropriate.

I am also a Clinton supporter - every entry on MyDD from me has been for the sole purpose of supporting Hillary Clinton.

You rated me a 0 for agreeing with another Clinton supporter - I essentially restated her points one by one, and 100% agreed with every one.

0's and 1's should not be given out in this manner - even if you disagree with someone. And if you made an honest mistake, and did not mean to do it, then why don't you correct it?

Also know that I stopped coming to the site after you did that. So if you are for Clinton, you drove off one of her best supporters.
